Products & materials

What products does STRAND & CO. manufacture?

The owner-provided range centres on synthetic hair products: extensions, ponytails, lace-front wigs, U-part and half wigs, full wigs, scrunchies, buns, bangs and toppers. Exact model, material and current availability are confirmed for each inquiry.

Is every product made from the same synthetic fibre?

No. Synthetic fibre is a category, not one performance specification. Confirm the named fibre or composition, finish, care method and any heat guidance for the selected product.

Do you also list human-hair products?

The catalogue may contain human-hair references, but the confirmed factory specialism is synthetic hair products. Manufacturing origin and supply route for any human-hair item must be confirmed separately.

Does heat-friendly mean I can use any temperature?

No. Heat guidance depends on the exact fibre and supplier instructions. Agree the tool, method and sample test before writing consumer care claims.

Can fibre lustre and hand feel be adjusted?

They can be discussed as sample targets where the chosen fibre and finish permit. Use a physical or approved visual reference and confirm feasibility before quotation.

How should I compare two synthetic fibre options?

Compare declared material, appearance, feel, weight, movement, styling guidance and performance under the same agreed handling routine. Do not compare only marketing names.

Can I request custom colours or blends?

Colour and blend development can be evaluated from swatches or references. Minimums, feasibility, colour tolerance and timing depend on the fibre, texture and quantity.

Are product images proof of final colour?

No. Screens and lighting alter colour. Use images for direction, then approve a physical swatch or sample under agreed viewing conditions.

Construction & sizing

What cap measurements should I provide?

Provide circumference, front-to-nape, ear-to-ear paths, temple positions and nape width using one diagram. Also state fit range, stretch and attachment expectations.

What is the difference between 13×4 and 13×6 lace?

The labels describe frontal formats, but usable depth and shape vary. Confirm finished measurements, parting area, lace type, cap size and sample construction.

Can combs, straps or bands be changed?

Attachment placement and component options can be evaluated by product. Longer or heavier styles may need a new security and comfort review.

How do I specify density?

Define the convention used and connect it to cap size, construction and an approved visual or weight reference. A percentage is not a universal conversion to grams.

How is length measured on curls?

Agree whether length is measured relaxed, hanging or gently stretched, and identify the start and end points. Use the same method for sample and inspection.

Can you make U-part or half wigs?

These are within the confirmed product direction. Opening, coverage, cap size, attachment, texture, weight and current platform availability still need project confirmation.

What should I inspect inside a wig cap?

Check panel sizes, seams, weft spacing, elastic, combs, straps, edge finishing and transitions between lace, mono and wefted areas.

Can one cap fit every market?

A general retail fit may serve a target range, but no single cap fits every wearer. Define your size system and review it through controlled fit sampling.

OEM & ODM

What is the difference between OEM and ODM?

OEM usually follows a buyer-defined product or existing platform. ODM includes more open collaborative development and is assessed case by case for feasibility, ownership, sampling and commercial impact.

Can you work from a reference photo?

Yes, as a direction. The photo must be translated into material, construction, dimensions, colour, weight, attachment, finish and packaging decisions before a reliable quote.

Do you offer completely original product design?

Deeper development can be evaluated, but the site does not promise unlimited original design, patents or exclusive tooling. Define the open problem and ownership needs for review.

What information should be in an OEM brief?

Include product direction, target market, quantity, reference, decided specifications, open questions, packaging and target date.

Can I change an existing platform?

Often this is the most efficient development route. The factory still needs to review which changes affect materials, construction, samples, minimums and timing.

Who owns artwork and new design work?

Ownership, permitted reuse, exclusivity and tooling must be agreed in writing where relevant. They are not implied by calling a project OEM or ODM.

Can product and packaging development run together?

They can overlap after key dimensions and SKU decisions are stable. Packaging may need revision if product volume, included items or labels change.

Does customisation guarantee feasibility?

No. Every requested change is reviewed against product platform, materials, process, quantity, compliance and sample results.

Samples & approval

Can I request samples before a volume order?

Yes, subject to product availability or development feasibility. Sample cost, scope and dispatch timing are confirmed for the actual request.

How many sample rounds are needed?

There is no universal number. Plan rounds around unresolved fit, colour, construction and packaging decisions, then close each with a documented status.

What should a sample approval include?

Identify the sample, specification version, measurements, colour reference, packaging files, approver, date and any accepted exceptions.

What is a golden sample?

It is an approved physical reference linked to controlled documents. It remains useful only if it is identified, stored and updated when changes are approved.

Can I approve colour from a photo?

Photos can document placement but are unreliable as the sole colour standard. Approve a physical swatch or sample under agreed lighting where colour matters.

How should revision feedback be sent?

Consolidate comments into one dated version, separate required changes from preferences, and use measurements or annotated views for precise points.

Does one sample cover every SKU?

Only when variants share the relevant material and construction. Different fibre, colour process, cap or attachment may need separate evidence.

What happens after sample approval?

Final quantity, quote, terms, packaging, production plan, inspection and dispatch arrangements are confirmed before volume production is released.

MOQ, assortments & quotations

What is your MOQ?

MOQ varies by product, material, colour, component, packaging and mix. Send a SKU plan so product and packaging minimums can be confirmed in the quotation.

Can I mix styles or colours in one order?

Mixed assortments can be reviewed, but each material, colour, attachment and printed packaging item may carry its own constraint.

Why do packaging minimums differ from product minimums?

Printed boxes, labels and inserts have separate suppliers and setup economics. Standard or shared packaging may create a different route.

How do I request a comparable quote?

Issue one specification and SKU matrix, then ask suppliers to declare inclusions, deviations, packaging, terms and validity line by line.

Are catalogue prices published?

No. Public pages do not expose internal costs. A quotation follows the selected model, specification, quantity, packaging and delivery requirements.

Can a lower MOQ increase unit price?

It may, depending on material, setup and packaging use. The actual relationship is confirmed for the requested mix rather than stated as a universal rule.

Can I start with a trial order?

A trial route can be discussed through samples, ready-stock selection or a smaller confirmed programme. Feasibility and minimums remain product-specific.

What can change a quote after approval?

Specification revisions, quantity mix, material or component changes, artwork, packaging, inspection scope, trade terms and timing can require recalculation.

Packaging & labels

Do you support private-label packaging?

Yes. Labels, hangtags, care cards, inserts and boxes can be discussed separately from the product. Exact options, minimums and timing require a packaging brief.

What artwork files should I provide?

Provide editable production files, fonts or outlined text, colour references, dimensions and market-required copy. The buyer remains responsible for final content approval.

Can one box be used for several SKUs?

Possibly, when product fit and protection work and SKU differences can be controlled by labels or stickers. Approve a complete pack-out for the intended mix.

How is packaging colour approved?

Review a digital layout, then a material or printed proof where colour and finish matter. Screen colour alone is not a print standard.

What belongs on a care card?

Use confirmed fibre, styling, washing, drying, storage and warning guidance for the actual product and destination. Do not copy claims from another fibre.

Can you add barcodes or SKU labels?

This can be scoped if the buyer supplies the correct data and placement rules. A final SKU-to-label matrix should be approved.

How do you protect products in transit?

Pack-out can use nets, tissue, forms, inserts, inner boxes and cartons as appropriate. The final protection method is approved with the product and shipping plan.

Does packaging affect lead time?

Yes, especially when artwork, printing or custom components are added. Confirm packaging approvals and procurement dependencies in the project schedule.

Quality & documents

What quality checks should be agreed?

Define material, construction, measurements, appearance, attachment, handling, labels and packaging checks for the specific product, with methods and decision rules.

Do you use AQL inspection?

An attribute sampling plan can be agreed for a project, including ISO 2859-1 where appropriate. The edition, lot, sample plan, defect classes and limits must be specified.

How should shedding be tested?

Agree product condition, tool, direction, stroke count or handling sequence and observation method. Limits must be appropriate to the style and sample evidence.

How should tangling be assessed?

Use a controlled routine and record where and when resistance occurs, the fibre condition and any change after care. Avoid undefined pull tests.

Can you provide certifications?

No certification claim is made on the website. Ask which documents are available and applicable to the exact product and destination before relying on them.

Can I appoint a third-party inspector?

Inspection responsibility and access can be discussed for the order. A third-party report is not implied until the parties confirm scope and appointment.

What records support repeat orders?

Keep specifications, approved samples, colour references, construction views, packaging files, inspection methods and change history together.

Are website images factory evidence?

No. Website visuals support product and process explanation. Capability evidence for a commercial decision should come from verified documents, samples and agreed project records.

Timing, repeat orders & after-sales

How long does production take?

Timing depends on approval, materials, quantity, construction, packaging, inspection and logistics. A dated schedule is confirmed with the actual quotation.

When does the production clock start?

Define the trigger in the commercial agreement, usually after required approvals and terms are complete. Inquiry date and sample date are not automatically production start dates.

Can you meet a fixed launch date?

Share the required arrival date early. The project team can work backward through logistics, inspection, production, materials and approval to assess feasibility.

How are repeat orders kept consistent?

Cite the prior approved version, reconfirm materials and components, compare retained references and document any substitution before production.

What if a material changes between orders?

The change should be disclosed and reviewed for appearance, performance, price and timing. A comparison sample may be needed.

What evidence is needed for a claim?

Provide order and SKU, quantities affected, clear photos or video, packaging condition, labels, measurements and a concise issue timeline within the agreed claim terms.

How are transit-damaged units reported?

Photograph outer cartons, labels, inner protection and affected products before disposal. Keep carrier documents and counts so responsibility can be assessed.

Can an after-sales issue be prevented on the next order?

Convert the agreed corrective action into the specification, inspection plan or packaging record so it becomes part of the next controlled version.
